Rape issues ratio in the world & India, Pakistan, China

Rape, illegal sexual activity, usually related to sexual intercourse, use force or threat of force against the will of the victim, or with persons who are young, mentally ill, mentally retarded, drunk, or unconscious.

The jurisdiction classifies rape as a crime of Sexual assault. It has for some time been accepted that assault is brought about by unbridled sexual craving, and it is presently perceived as an obsessive statement of the victim’s force.

Rape vs gender:

Rape is generally regarded as a crime committed by a man against a woman. In 2012, the FBI updated the definition of rape originally introduced in 1972, which previously defined rape as a crime against women. This definition that was considered outdated and too narrow was replaced by a new definition that recognized rape

It is committed by men and women who are related to victims of either sex. The new definition also expands the situations in which the victim cannot give consent. These cases now include temporary or permanent physical or mental disabilities, as well as disabilities caused by drug or alcohol abuse.

International law:

International law is changing, and rape is considered a weapon of war. The Rome Statute included rape in the definition of crimes against humanity, which was the first definition adopted by the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in the mid-1990s.

During the Balkan War, Serbian soldiers and police systematically raped Muslim women. In 1998, the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda declared rape as a crime against humanity. He also ruled that rape is an aspect of genocide because rape is used to make women pregnant to weaken or destroy specific gene pools.

Rape of children in Pakistan:

In six months rape rate was approximate:

In the first half of this year, as many as 1,489 children (at least 8 per day) in the country were sexually abused. 785 girls and 704 boys were killed. In 822 cases, the victim or relatives of the victim, 135 reported cases, involved strangers.

Some Raped countries:

In Zambia:

In Zambia, 43% of girls and women aged 15 to 49 have experienced some form of sexual violence. Victims of rape or sexual assault come from different genders, age groups, sexual orientations, races, and geographic locations, cultures, and degrees of disability.

Rape cases are divided into several categories, which can describe the relationship between the perpetrator and the victim and the background of the sexual assault. Rape, gang rape, child sexual abuse, prison rape, rape of acquaintances, war rape, and rape of minors. Sexual activity can be carried out over a long period, with little or no physical harm.

In Pakistan:

According to statistics, Pakistan reports at least 10 rape cases every day. In the past six years, more than 22,000 rape cases have been reported to the police across the country, of which 85% occurred in Punjab; however, only 77 defendants were convicted, accounting for the total number of cases0.3%.

In India:

According to statistics, it’s about 39% approximately 1,022 greater than last year.

In China:

The US State Department reported 31,833 violations in China, but the Chinese government did not provide similar reports.

Higher rate of rape:

South Africa has the highest rate of rape in the world, with 132.4 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. According to a survey conducted by the South African Medical Research Council, about a quarter of the men interviewed admitted to rape.

Omg The 2007 Criminal Law Amendment (Sexual Offences and Related Matters) amendments and enhancements to all sexual violence laws led to an increase in reports of rape, child sexual abuse, and domestic violence.

As in many other countries, there is very little information in the United States of America about cases of rape due to the humiliation of the victim, fear of retaliation, fear of being discovered by the family, and the public not taking it seriously. And there may be a lack of criminal prosecution.

In the United States, only 3% of rapists will spend a day in prison. 97% of rapists in the United States were released. Statistics need to go beyond simple legislation to solve this problem.

These countries need to take into account the profound and systemic dysfunctions of cultural and social norms that neither prevent nor prevent sexual violence.

  Highest rape rates countries:

  • South Africa
  • Botswana
  • Eswatini
  • Grenada
  • Bermuda
  • Sweden
  • Suriname
  • Costa Rica
  • Lesotho
  • Nicaragua

Lowest rape rate:

According to this list, Liechtenstein ranks among the top countries with the fewest reported rapes. The population of the European Principality is 38,128, and no rape cases have been reported in 2020.

Effects of rape

  • Gynecological diseases
  • Reproductive system diseases
  • Sexual dysfunction
  • Pelvic inflammatory disease
  • Pregnancy complications
  • Miscarriage
  • Death from trauma
  • Increase the risk of suicide

Because sexual violence affects all aspects of society, the response to sexual violence is complex. Response measures can be subdivided into individualized methods, health interventions, community efforts, and measures to prevent other forms of sexual violence.

Sexual violence can be prevented through high school courses, universities, and educational programs in the workplace. At least one sorority program has resulted in “sustainable behavior change.”

Regarding sexual assault on campus, nearly two-thirds of the students said they knew rape victims. In a study, more than half of the students said they knew the abuser; one in ten said they knew the rape victim. For a rape victim, almost a quarter said they knew a rape victim who was alcoholic.

Finally, I want to emphasize that sexual violence is an obstacle to peace and security. Also hindering women’s participation in peace and democratic processes and post-conflict reconstruction and reconciliation. Many women have lost their health, livelihood, husband, family, and support network due to rape.
